 “The use of PROfertil® significantly improved sperm motility in idiopathic oligoasthenospermic men. This beneficial effect may be related to the improved maturation process of the spermatozoa within the epididymal lumen probably due to the agency of L-arginine that generates nitric oxide a key molecule that regulates epididymal sperm maturation process. In addition, the presence of L-carnitine and other antioxidant compounds contained in PROfertil® protecting the lipids and fatty acids of the spermatozoa membrane from oxidative stress has a beneficial effect on sperm viability and motility. Furthermore the zinc content of PROfertil® stabilizing the structure of chromatid of the spermatozoa may increase their viability.”
